> Natural CLEANNESS for HYGIENE ARTICLES
The
textile industry is not the only sector where large amounts of cellulose
fibres are used. Fibres are also part and parcel of many of the products
we use constantly every day – all of which have to satisfy special
requirements. Many products used in the household, the construction
industry, in our free time and when travelling, as well as in personal
hygiene and medicine, contain cellulose extracted from wood.
These
materials known as „fleece materials“ or "Non-Wovens" contain
fibres in the form of fabrics, in which the former – depending on the
respective process – are deliberately placed on one another, felted,
needled or pressed. Moreover, they are, in the main, combined with other
functional fabrics.
Baby
nappies, wipes, plasters and surgical wipes can likewise be manufactured
on the basis of products of this kind, such as tea bags, serviettes ,
cushion covers, protective covers for CD’s, filter materials, hat rests
in cars or insulating mats when building houses.
In
the last few years the hygiene segment for fleeces has undergone rapid
development. Because many of the products in this sector are used only
once, priority is given to
purity of the highest level in combination with exceptional properties.
The Lyocell fibre complies perfectly with these demands and evens stands out due to its very high moisture absorption, softness, dimensional stability and very high strengths in the wet state („the wipe for a baby’s bottom remains stable even when being used“).
Lyocell’s
most persuasive property, however, has to be the environmentally-friendly
manufacturing process in which bleach is no longer required. For this
reason high quality Lyocell products contain no free chlorine and are sold
as so-called "TCF - products". The natural raw material and
unsurpassed purity attained in this production process make this natural
fibre the product of choice in the hygiene product segment. Tests conducted in accordance with the highest standards of product safety confirm this in an impressive manner.
