Humans spend a third of their lives in bed.
It is important, therefore, that we feel comfortable in that environment, that we lie comfortably and are warm enough but not too hot. The sleeping area between the mattress and the bed cover has to create the optimum climate – in agreement with the season in question.
Lyocell is a top product in this field of application.
Various
manufacturers now offer comprehensive bed linen ranges with Lyocell, the
product of a tree. And it is not just bed linen, quilts, filling fibres
for mattresses, covers and a host of other things which are made of
Lyocell, the number of developments and new products from reputed
suppliers is also very high.
One associates optimum moisture and heat management with the Lyocell fibre, i.e. one does not perspire with covers of Lyocell and although one perceives a pleasant coolness, one does not freeze at the same time. The fibre breathes with the body, absorbs a lot of moisture very quickly and then releases this to the outside thus preserving the warmth level.
